Online Gambling Fans Bet on Super Bowl Commercials
On February 5th, the night of the Super Bowl XL, online gambling sites and online casino will not be taking bets just on the game. The Super Bowl is one of the most watched events of the year. As such, companies pay huge sums of money to run advertisements during commercial breaks. ABC is not the only one that stands to make money as a result of these commercials. An online gambling site by the name of Pinnacle Sports that combines both sports gambling and online casinos games is now offering odds on which commercial will win the USA Today's 18th Annual Ad Meter Survey.
So far there are eight companies that intend to run commercials during the breaks. Anheuser-Busch, the company that won the Annual Ad Meter title for the past 7 years, is the odds on favorite according to the online gambling site. As such, online casinos odds makers have given them 1/2 odds, meaning that you stand to win $1 for every $2 you invest. For the first time in ten years, Burger King plans to air a commercial during the Super Bowl. The online gambling site has them listed with 9/2 odds, meaning that you stand to earn $9 for every $2 you wager. Pepsi, another long shot to win the poll for the first time since 1998, with 8/1 online casinos odds.
Simon Noble, spoke on behalf of the online gambling site saying, “When people talk about Super Bowl dynasties they mention the 1970's Steelers, 1980's 49ers, 1990's Cowboys and the current New England Patriots, but nobody has dominated the Super Bowl like Anheuser-Busch. In recent years, Budweiser has been the MVP of Super Bowl advertising - making another company the favorite to win the Ad Meter poll was never an option”.
