Americans Fighting for Online Casino Poker
Forces are joined by online casino poker fanatics all over US, to fight the recent clampdown on online casino gambling, which has seen many online casino sites and poker rooms avoiding the US market due to the uncertain legal issues surrounding the "Wire Act".
Entertainment executive Philip Ittleson has recently launched LetThePeoplePlayer.org, a new website dedicated to educating an estimated 70 million US online casino poker fanatics and bring them together to defend their rights, in an attempt to raise a volunteer "army", to increase Washington’s awareness of the unpopularity of its actions amongst the American public.
Ittleson, executive producer of a new poker documentary "No Limit", due for release in October, recently stated: '"The whole internet gaming ban is a joke, online casino poker players are not terrorists, let's get our priorities straight. The biggest crime is that we are not regulating and taxing it." The website has already attracted celebrity backing through LA singer Lucie Jourdan, who pointed to the more pressing matters that the government should be addressing, such as global warming, and the conflict in the Middle East, rather than concentrating a sustained assault on the online casino and online poker industry. “When you put it perspective it sickens me that Washington is wasting valuable time and our hard earned tax dollars on this frivolous bill.”
